The DuCane makes a feature of traditional ales such Farmers Ales from Maldon as well as the Mighty Oak Brewing Company and The Mersea Island Brewing Company which provides our Oyster Stout.

We also offer a choice of premium lagers, spirits and soft drinks including Hill Holmes Juice. 

The extensive wine list sourced by our good friends Mark and Kay Soudah at Grape Passions includes quaffable table wines as well as some classic labels and a good selection available by the glass.

We have tried to preserve the convivial atmosphere and feel of The DuCane, an old local public house, and always aim to make guests feel welcome whether stopping in for a drink and a chat or joining us for the full dining experience. 

Both our beautifully maintained appointed gardens to the side and rear offer guests pleasant surroundings to enjoy a lazy glass of wine or provide the perfect venue for a BBQ, Wedding Reception, Christening or just a good old fashioned knees up.
